Why We Exist
Every year, thousands of students dream of attending college programs far from home — to explore new ideas, build independence, and grow beyond the boundaries of their hometowns. But too often, the financial burden of out-of-state tuition or relocation costs makes that dream feel out of reach.
We created A Flight Away Scholarship to change that.

A student’s zip code shouldn’t determine their future. Whether they dream of studying engineering in Texas or film in California, we believe they deserve the chance to spread their wings.

Leaving home to attend college builds resilience, curiosity, and courage. We support students ready to take that leap — and recognize that the first flight often needs a runway.

Our scholarships are powered by families who once made this same journey: parents who studied out of state and know firsthand how life-changing it can be. Now, they’re helping others do the same.
